The older I get, the more interesting, relevant, and fascinating history becomes. I have always wondered how America was caught so flatfooted during that ‘date which will live in infamy.’ Even though America’s war machine was ramping up and so many other countries were already at war.

While touring Europe, this self-proclaimed history buff found inspiration in some of the many WWII historical sites. In several of these sites and documents, the desperation, creativity, and grit of Churchill and the British people shine through.
