A lot has happened since the publication of FIREBALL. For a few months Hazel Lindsey (Fireball) and I (Julia Walker) did a lot of book signings, which we thoroughly enjoyed. Frequently Hazel would sing a song she wrote and the audience would love it. Sadly, a few months after publication she fell ill and passed away. She was a fireball until the end, flirting with doctors and male attendants in the hospital and telling them all about her book. She was buried in a private family cemetery on the land near Oak Ridge, Tennessee, where in her early twenties she built the house that her daughter Naomi Davenport still lives in. I have moved from Eastern Tennessee to Montgomery, Alabama. I continue to write. I have not published another book since FIREBALL, but I’m happy to announce that my brother Norman McMillan, an accomplished playwright, is near completion of a one-woman play based on the book. We are also looking into creating an audiobook of FIREBALL. We are pleased with the continuing success of the book and are grateful for all the readers and the wonderful comments left on Amazon. I’d love to hear from you personally at greywalkbooks@gmail.com. Let me know if you’d like an autographed copy. I love to visit book clubs and other groups to talk about FIREBALL, so feel free to invite me. I like to have a good excuse to travel! Note added 8/5/22 FIREBALL is now available as an audiobook. It’s available on Audible and other audio platforms.
